About NextUse
It's our mission to revolutionize how we treat plastic.
We want to challenge convention, embrace existing materials over new plastics, and foster a sustainable consumption culture — a way of carrying everyday life that's environmentally responsible, durable, and beautifully one-of-a-kind.

How it all began
NextUse started inside The Village School in Houston, where our team noticed how quickly plastic bags pile up in classrooms, cafeterias, and homes — and how few of them ever get a second life. Houston ranks 99th out of the 100 largest US cities for sustainability, and we wanted to prove that real change can start hyperlocally.
We tested countless layer counts and stitching patterns to find a fabric-like material strong enough to last. Today, with support from TXRX Labs, we're scaling our "Plastic to Purpose" model into a venture that can grow far beyond our school walls.
Values for us. Values for Planet Earth.
- Reuse existing materials before extracting new ones.
- Keep production local, low-energy, and community-driven.
- Make sustainability practical — and a little stylish.
- Empower students to lead environmental change.
